
TimePiece, or: Another imperfect measurement of us
Kinesis Project
Kinesis Project dance theatre, a ground-breaking, boundary-pushing outdoor dance company led by choreographer Melissa Riker, performs a 20-minute excerpt from its acclaimed work TimePiece, or: Another imperfect measurement of us in a pop-up performance at the Urban Garden Room.
This work was created using the measurable, and immeasurable, elements of time and distance; personal anecdotes; poems by Rumi and Billy Collins; and in collaboration with costume designer Asa Thornton and visual artist Celeste Cooning. TimePiece is a sweeping, intimate, comical dance unfolding through the garden at 1 Bryant Park.
