Joseph Kim earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. Prior to attending Stony Brook, he completed his undergraduate studies at Boston College, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Minor in Faith, Peace, and Justice. His clinical experiences include working with patients and clients recovering from sports-related injuries, general orthopedic dysfunction, chronic pain conditions and post-surgical procedures.
Joe’s treatment approach is holistic, centered on the patients’ values and functional goals. It starts with a comprehensive evaluation to determine the true source of one’s pain and functional limitations. Joe utilizes his proven manual therapy skills, individualized therapeutic exercise prescription, and clinical reasoning to eliminate pain, restore optimal mobility and to help prevent injury in the future. Having dealt with persistent pain and running-related injuries himself, he is especially interested in the analysis of Running Biomechanics as well as chronic low back pain.
Outside of the clinic, Joe loves watching and playing basketball, being outdoors and camping, and is currently pursuing a Starting Strength coach certification.
