Andy Pakter, PT, DPT, CSCS, BFR, OCS




Andy is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He later went on to Touro College to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. During his undergraduate studies, Andy worked in the Brain Plasticity Lab, performing research with patients with cerebrovascular accidents. Utilizing transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and functional electric stimulation (FES), Andy was able to improve the quality of life of the future stroke population.
More recently, Andy has been involved in the sports world, handling the medical tents at the New York City Marathon, Play Rugby and AVP (the professional beach volleyball circuit). Andy is certified to perform personalized blood flow restriction therapy via Owens Recovery and Myofascial Decompression (cupping) through CupTherapy.
During his free time, Andy likes to remain active. His favorite activities and sports involve playing hockey, rock climbing and biking.
