Annmarie Graziosa is a Physical Therapist Assistant at our Westchester-Athletes Warehouse clinic. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Biology (Pre-Med) and a minor in Biology from Springfield College and obtained her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from LaGuardia Community College, graduating with high honors. Prior to attending PTA school, Annmarie was the Director of Technicians and rehab technician at SPEAR – Chelsea location for four years.
While at Springfield, Annmarie was a Division III Collegiate Gymnast who competed on vault, beam, and floor, qualifying for the NCGA Championship all four years. She was captain of the Women’s Gymnastics team her senior year. During her eighteen-year gymnastics career, she along with her fellow teammates encountered multiple injuries. However, Physical Therapy played an important role as it enabled them to finish out their competitive careers as healthy as possible.
Annmarie’s clinical experience is in orthopedics, sport medicine, post-operative rehabilitation, and geriatrics. Her approach to rehabilitation is to treat each patient as an individual by incorporating manual therapy techniques, exercises, and modalities into their sessions. She enjoys treating a diverse patient population getting them back to doing what they love to do.
During her free time, she coaches gymnastics and choreographs floor/beam routines for girls between the ages of 8-18 years old. She educates the gymnasts on the proper way to land skills to relieve the amount of pressure on their joints, along with incorporating conditioning programs to maintain their strength and stability. Annmarie enjoys spending time with her family, working out, traveling, and beach trips.
