Julia earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh, also earning her undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Science, and a certificate in Pathokinesiology in Rehabilitation. Additionally, she served as a member of the Division 1 gymnastics team.

In her clinical rotations, Julia gained extensive experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation. Through these clinical rotations, she had the opportunity to treat a wide range of orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary diagnoses. She also spent her free time volunteering with the Mighty Penguins Adaptive Sled Hockey team—she and her classmates designed individualized strength and conditioning programs for athletes with a variety of physical and cognitive impairments to improve their athletic performance and overall health. Julia is passionate about creating individualized goal-oriented treatment sessions for her patients to maximize their independence and help them return to their prior level of function.

Julia is from Long Island, but may have been converted to a Steelers fan during her time in Pittsburgh. Julia loves spending her free time hiking and snowboarding in the Adirondacks.
