Ken Abes earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University. While studying at Rutgers, Ken served as director of the Rutgers pro-bono physical therapy clinic (CPPTC) in Newark, NJ. As an undergraduate, Ken earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology, while serving as both performer and president of his college’s musical theatre organization.
During his clinical rotations, Ken gained experience working in various clinical rehabilitation settings including inpatient, outpatient, adult, and orthopedic rehabilitation. As a clinician, Ken utilizes a tailored patient-centered approach to his practice as he recognizes each person has unique goals, experiences, and learning styles. Ken’s unique approach to therapy provided him the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients involving dancers, geriatric clients, and lower limb amputees.
Ken has been involved in the performing arts for most of his life, having extensive experience in dance, chorale, violin, musical theatre performance, and production. Off of the stage, Ken enjoys hiking, weightlifting, and playing tennis.
