Kynaston Schultz, PT, DPT, NCPT

Kynaston Schultz earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University. While at Columbia, Kynaston took advanced courses in orthopedics, as well as specialized courses in performing arts, foot and ankle, wrist and hand, and women’s health. During her time at CUMC, Kynaston was able to implement an outreach program for the local elementary school focused on teaching anatomy, physiology, and obesity prevention. She helped coordinate and direct CancerFIT, an organization which provides free evidenced based exercise classes for cancer patients and survivors. She also participated in research with adolescent dancers and was able to present posters with her team at two national conferences.
Kynaston’s interest in physical therapy stemmed from her background in performing arts. As a classically trained ballet dancer, she became passionate about injury prevention and helping others achieve success following her own injuries. She believes in empowering patients to achieve their goals. She uses her love of movement to help patients obtain positive movement experiences and ultimately return to doing what they love most. Through her clinical affiliation at Harkness Center for Dance Injuries, Kynaston gained experience treating performing artists, both adolescents and adults, backstage and in the clinic. Her other affiliations allowed her to work with a wide range of conditions in an adult population in both orthopedic and acute care settings.
Outside of the clinic, Kynaston loves to dance, hike, cook, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
