Marissa Speno, PT, DPT, OCS
Marissa earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy with honors from Ithaca College where she attended an accelerated six year program, minoring in Sports and Exercise Psychology.
Marissa has interests in treating sports-related injuries, spinal dysfunction, post-operative diagnoses and chronic pain. She practices utilizing a “total body approach” while incorporating the most current research and honoring each patient’s unique goals.
Marissa is certified in the Functional Movement Screen, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization and is currently working towards an advanced certification through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. She is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
In addition to clinical practice, Marissa also coordinates student affiliations company-wide, mentors students, and teaches in-house clinical education workshops.
Marissa hails from Upstate New York and currently resides in Harlem. In her spare time, she can be found enjoying the great outdoors, practicing yoga, cooking, traveling and eating her way around the city.
