Mikayla George, PT, DPT, OCS
Mikayla graduated with honors from Regis University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Prior to this, Mikayla received a BA in Human Biology with an emphasis in Human Performance from Stanford University. Since finishing PT school, Mikayla has completed an orthopedic physical therapy residency and a sports certification with Evidence in Motion. She is currently a manual therapy fellow in training.
Mikayla enjoys treating patients with a variety of orthopedic and sports injuries. She has completed continuing education in concussion management, manual therapy, and pain science including the management of persistent pain. She has also provided medical coverage for a number of athletic events including marathons, 5ks and at the 2014 World Lacrosse Championships. She is also an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT).
Mikayla highly values collaborative relationships with her patients. She works hard to tailor each session’s hands-on time, exercises and home program to align with each patient’s body type, personality, functional goals and/or sport. She firmly believes that she can learn from each patient’s story and looks forward to building relationships with every patient she comes into contact with.
Outside of the clinic, Mikayla enjoys her hammock, hiking, yoga, and adventures with her husband and her dog Lucy.
