Sean earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy with honors from CUNY College of Staten Island and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Science at the University of Connecticut. While completing his doctorate, Sean gained clinical experience focusing on orthopedics at various clinics, as well as cardiopulmonary rehabilitation at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. He was also involved with research that resulted in a platform presentation at a national conference in Washington D.C.
During his clinical rotations, Sean treated post-operative patients with various orthopedic conditions and sports-related injuries. Sean is driven by his patients to continuously improve his skill set, while also mentoring his peers. Currently, Sean serves as an adjunct professor at CUNY Lehman College, teaching Kinesiology and Biomechanics.
Sean has also developed an interest in studying the correlation between nutrition and pathologies seen in physical therapy. He believes it is important to treat every patient with a whole-body, individualized approach to fully optimize care. Sean spent a year studying human nutrition, and officially became a certified clinical nutritionist through the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board in 2021.
When he is not treating patients in the clinic, Sean likes to maintain an active lifestyle. Particularly, he enjoys weightlifting, volleyball, hiking, golfing, and playing tennis. Even though he is an all-around New York sports fan, his favorite team to root for is the UConn Huskies.
