Valerie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Virginia, later moving to NYC where she earned her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from New York University. She is the recipient of the NYU President’s Service Award for her involvement with the e-NABLE Community Foundation, an organization that makes free and low-cost 3D printed upper limb prosthetics.

Valerie has clinical experience in outpatient settings treating a variety of upper extremity conditions. She completed her final clinical affiliation working alongside professionals in multiple disciplines treating patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, autoimmune disorders, and orthopedic trauma. These experiences further developed her passion to help her patients reach their maximum functional potential and return to meaningful activities.

Valerie prioritizes her physical activity and nutrition. In her spare time, she loves finding new ways to be active outdoors, trying out new recipes, and traveling to new destinations.
