Zarah Anvery, PT, DPT, OCS
Zarah received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Prior to pursuing her Doctorate, Zarah received her Bachelors of Science in Cellular & Molecular Biology from SUNY New Paltz. Originally interested attending medical school, Zarah had a change of heart when she injured her knee when training for a half-marathon. This sparked her interest in pursuing physical therapy as a career.
Following her training from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Zarah completed her residency at NYIT, specializing in orthopedics. Through her experiences, Zarah found her passion for working with patients that are pre/post-operative as well as patients with musculoskeletal or orthopedic injuries. To further assist her patients, Zarah obtained her board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Zarah takes joy in knowing she makes a difference in her patient’s lives by working closely with them as they meet their functional goals.
When she is not working, Zarah enjoys spending her time outdoors running, biking, and hiking. She has completed several half marathons and duathlons, and is currently training for the New York City marathon.
